What is .me?

In 2006, the small nation of Montenegro was assigned .ME as the country’s official domain name extension. Rather than follow the convention of allowing only Montenegro-based individuals and businesses to register .ME, the country has made the domain available to any interested party from around the globe.

Imagine the possibilities for Maine-based businesses, organizations, towns, and agencies to have a .me domain!

Will Sugg of Planet was on Maine Things Considered radio show discussing the .me domain. Planet Maine, based in Hallowell, Maine, is certified by Montenegro to register this great new domain. We offer the best price available. You can also receive discounts on hosting, email accounts and more when you register with us.

We have also launched a Facebook page. Give it a Like! In addition to announcements of new happenings and offerings from Planet Maine we will also keep you up to date on everything from cyber security to social media trends,
